I started working on this project in 2014 while I was collaborating with the architecture studio Modular. With them I did the restoration, reorganization of the apartments and attic reconversion project. In 2020 I decided to come back to it from the perspective of an interior designer and not an architect and do an interior design proposal and reorganization for one of the apartments.
Apartament 7 is situated on the second floor of the apartment building built in 1904 in the center of Arad. The edifice was always destined to be an apartment building but throughout the years, especially during the communist era, it had suffered different interventions in terms of space layout.
The interior design is inspired by mid century modern aesthetics which go very well with the entire building's look both inside and out.
Taking into consideration today's needs, I kept the apartment to a decent size that is perfectly suited for a small family or a single person. Opting for an open living space solution gave the apartment flexibility, a clean layout and two bedrooms.
